So this isn't saying you can't use "grease" on the face or body - it says you can't use "excessive" grease. If you couldn't use any grease at all, then the ref wouldn't put it on the eyebrows, etc. before the fight, and the cutmen couldn't use it to cover cuts in the middle of a fight. Meaning it's allowed, but not excessively. And it just makes sense that it's not supposed to be used on the body.

I think GSP's cornerman didn't have enough on his fingers, after putting vaseline on GSP's face, to cause any more slippage on his back than what was already there from sweating. So really this issue should be put to rest. BJ lost fair and square. Look at BJ when he entered the ring and just before the fight - he looked nervous and scared. GSP totally dominated him!

It's definitely "not" supposed to be used on the body, but there is nothing in the rules that says it can't be used on the body in small amounts.

The rules will be changed, I'm sure of that, but as of right now, everything that happened in GSP's corner between rounds was within the rules.

Unless people want to argue that the Vaseline left on Nurse's hands was excessive, but even the most upset BJ Penn fan can't do that.

Sure, it looked shady, but I believe it was an accident. And I also believe that GSP is naturally greasy when he sweats, like me.
