Bobby Lashley solidifies WWE >>> MMA

Bobby Lashley solidifies WWE >>> MMA

WWE Superstar Bobby Lashley had an easy night last night at "Mixed Fight Alliance: There Will Be Blood" beating fellow 0-0 fighter Joshua Franklin.

It took Lashley just 41 seconds to finish his opponent Saturday night, about 4 minutes shorter than an average WWE match.

The card also featured a rematch between Jeff Monson and former UFC champion Ricco Rodriguez, a fight that Monson won by unanimous decision, handing Ricco his first loss in 6 fights.

But the real main event for the fans was Lashley, who some say will be the next Brock Lesnar. Lashley, who signed with American Fight League in May, was loaned out to the MFA after they couldn't provide a bout for him.

Since May we've been waiting to see what Lashley would look like in the cage, and Lashley didn't disappoint. He looked impressive, shooting almost immediately and unleashing some vicious ground and pound on his opponent. The fight ended up back on the feet shortly thereafter where Lashley landed some blows and looked incredibly quick for a man his size. After a quick combination, the ref stepped in to look at a cut opened by Lashley's ground and pound assault, and after a few minutes, it was ruled that Franklin was unfit to continue.

Bobby Lashley has solidified my (and others) stance on the WWE vs MMA debate. If the UFC doesn't scoop him up, it is very much expected that Lashley will head to Affliction to take the heavyweight crown from whoever may hold it at the time. My guess is a fight between soon to be WAMMA Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski and WWE Superstar Bobby Lashley will do close to 1 million PPV buys.

As to my prediction on who will win that fight? While I do believe WWE >>> MMA, nothing, and I mean nothing is >>> The Pitbull.
